At least 10 people were killed while several were injured as U.S. forces attempted to secure the evacuations of their respective citizens and Afghan local staff, Afghanistan media TOLOnews said Monday.

People entered the airport on Sunday despite the presence of U.S. forces. Shots were fired and a stampede ensued, both of which caused fatalities.

AFP, quoting the U.S. Pentagon, reported that U.S. forces killed two armed people. Two other people were killed after they fell from a U.S. military airplane in flight after takeoff.
