The head of the Taliban's political arm and co-founder of the group, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, was one of a nine-member Taliban delegation that Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with in July. Baradar is the likely choice to head the government being formed in Kabul.
