August 19, 2021, is China's fourth Medical Workers' Day. CGTN followed Lu Qian, a surgeon at Beijing Tsinghua Changgeng Hospital, to explore her workday. There are more than 11 million medical staff in China sacrificing time with their families and struggling on the frontline to protect the lives and health of the people.
