As the Taliban solidified their control of the capital Kabul, uncertainty prevails with many Afghans and foreign nationals still desperate to leave the city. Meanwhile, countries around the world are assessing how to respond to the changed situation on the ground.

Will there be an orderly transfer of power? Where does the future of Afghanistan lie: in peace and inclusiveness, or conflicts and panic? And how will the world respond to a Taliban-ruled Afghanistan?
