At least 10 people, including two toddlers, have died during severe flooding in the U.S. state of Tennessee on Saturday, CNN reported citing local authorities.

A total of 31 people are still missing, Humphreys County Sheriff Chris Davis was quoted saying.

Officials have activated a level 3 state of emergency and urged those in the state's inner regions to avoid driving or crossing flooded roads and walkways, according to the report.
