A diver named Yan Qingping was recorded performing "Bianlian," also known as face-changing, while swimming among fish at an amusement park in Lanzhou City, northwest China's Gansu Province. He studied the sleight of hand skill online for three months and also designed the costumes and masks by himself.

"Bianlian" an ancient Chinese dramatic art is part of the renowned Sichuan Opera, which was listed as a national intangible cultural heritage in 2006.
