China and Cyprus are marking the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations. Government ministers from Cyprus have spoken to local media outlets, Cyprus Mail and Home in Cyprus, about their country's friendly relations with China. Constantinos Petrides, minister of finance of the Republic of Cyprus, said the economic cooperation can be expanded in various areas. Prodromos Prodromou, minister of education, culture, sport and youth, said the Belt and Road Initiative has promoted economic connectivity.
