China successfully sent three experimental satellites into preset orbit on Tuesday, China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) has announced.

The trio, developed by the China Academy of Space Technology under the CASC, lifted off on a Long March-2C carrier rocket from Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwestern China at 7:15 p.m. They will be used to test communications technologies.

This is the 385th flight mission for the Long March series carrier rockets.

The Long March-2C rocket, develop by the China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology under the CASC, is powered by liquid fuel at normal temperature. It is mainly used for launching low-orbit and sun-synchronous orbit satellites.
