After making impressive GDP growth for the first half of the year, China's economic performance fell short of expectations in July as extreme weather and the highly contagious Delta variant of the coronavirus swept through many provinces.

So how is this affecting the momentum of China's economic growth? With expanding foreign investment and a tightening scrutiny of monopolies, how do investors view the Chinese market? And as China is also stressing efforts to promote common prosperity in the pursuit of high-quality development, how does this reflect in economic policy?
