The Taliban have appointed a new finance minister and an acting interior minister as well as officials in Kabul, the Pajhwok Afghan News agency reported on Tuesday.

The agency reported that Gul Agha is Afghanistan's new finance minister and Sadr Ibrahim is the acting interior minister. It added that Mullah Shirin will be the governor of Kabul province and Hamdullah Nomani the mayor of the capital.

No other details were immediately available.
