The leaders of the U.S. and the UK discussed the ongoing efforts to coordinate the evacuation of their nationals and agreed to continue working together to ensure those who are eligible to leave are able to, including after the initial phase of the evacuation has ended.

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson made a phone call with U.S. President Joe Biden Monday on the situation in Afghanistan, ahead of the G7 meeting, said a government press release.
