Generations of forest rangers have devoted themselves to the building and protecting of Saihanba Forest Farm in north China's Hebei Province, which is now the world's largest man-made forest but was once a barren land.

Chinese President Xi Jinping visited the forest farm on Monday, learned about the management and protection of the farm, as well as Hebei's coordinated efforts in conserving its mountains, rivers, forests, farmlands, lakes and grasslands, and desertification control.
