Russia will use four military transport aircraft to evacuate more than 500 citizens from Afghanistan, RIA Novosti news agency reported on Wednesday, citing the Russian Defense Ministry.

By order from Russian President Vladimir Putin, the ministry will organize the evacuation of over 500 citizens of the Russian Federation, Collective Security Treaty Organization member states and Ukraine from Afghanistan, according to the report.
