Chinese President Xi Jinping on Tuesday made an inspection tour of Chengde City, north China's Hebei Province, with a focus on the protection and inheritance of cultural heritage, religious work, ethnic solidarity, rural vitalization and aged care services. President Xi visited Chengde Mountain Resort, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site that once served Chinese emperors during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). He then visited Puning Temple, a famous Buddhist temple nearby, and Chengde Museum.
