The Chinese mainland recorded 26 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Wednesday – three local transmissions and 23 from overseas, the latest data from the National Health Commission showed on Thursday.

In addition, 19 new asymptomatic cases were recorded, while 467 asymptomatic patients remain under medical observation.

This brings the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland to 94,733, with the death toll unchanged at 4,636.

The total number of confirmed cases in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and the Taiwan region is as follows:

Hong Kong: 12,074 (11,772 recoveries, 212 deaths)

Macao: 63 (59 recoveries)

Taiwan: 15,939 (13,626 recoveries, 830 deaths)
