Black-winged stilts make surprise visit to Nanjing park
A flock of black-winged stilts made a surprise visit to Lianhuahu Park in Nanjing City, east China's Jiangsu Province. These long-legged birds, flying and foraging in the waters of the lake against the background of greenery, have created a lovely scene for visitors.
The species, which is under national protection, often inhabits lakes, shallow ponds and marshes in open plains and grasslands, and is highly sensitive to environmental changes.
