On August 27, 2021, in the Zhangjiajie Wulingyuan Scenic Area in central China's Hunan Province, the spider lilies were seen blossoming vividly, attracting butterflies including common Mormons.

The flowering period for spider lily is between July to September, as the flower thrives in humid areas, it usually emerges and soon turns into a sea after rain.
