China is calling on parties, particularly the U.S., to guide the Taliban in areas such as governance and provide much-needed economic and humanitarian assistance. Wang Jin, an associate professor at the Institute of Middle Eastern Studies, Northwest University of China, agreed that a multi-pronged approach is required to help ensure Afghanistan's political and social stability.
