IAEA: Indications 'consistent with' operation of DPRK nuclear reactor
CGTN

The Democratic People's Republic of Korea appears to have restarted its Yongbyon nuclear reactor, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has said in a report.

There were no indications of reactor operation from early December 2018 to the beginning of July 2021, the IAEA said in a report released on August 27.

However, since early July 2021, there have been indications, including the discharge of cooling water, consistent with the operation of the reactor, according to the report.

There are no comments from the DPRK side so far.
