Taliban supreme leader Hibatullah Akhundzada is in Afghanistan's Kandahar and has met with top Taliban figures to discuss the formation of the future political system, Ariana news reported, citing sources.

Previously, two Taliban spokespersons revealed that Akhundzada was in Kandahar and due to make a public appearance. He has never appeared publicly before and his whereabouts have remained largely unknown.
