The U.S. has carried out a drone attack in Afghanistan's Nangarhar province, a day after an attack outside Kabul airport.

CGTN's reporter visited the area and found that most of the villagers were still hiding in their homes to avoid the airstrikes by the U.S.

Local residents told us that the deceased was branded an extremist by the U.S. They say he was not involved in any military activities or had any connection with extremist organizations.

The U.S. military declared in a statement issued on August 28 that there were no reports of civilian casualties in the operation.

Meanwhile, the Taliban accused the United States of infringing on Afghan territories and violating previously signed peace agreements.
