Geng Shuang: Withdrawal from Afghanistan not the end of responsibility

 The United Nations Security Council held an emergency meeting on August 30 to vote on a draft resolution on Afghanistan. Geng Shuang, China's deputy permanent representative to the UN, told the meeting that the recent chaos in Afghanistan is directly related to the hasty and disorderly withdrawal of foreign troops. He hoped the relevant countries will realize that withdrawal is not the end of responsibility but the beginning of reflection and correction.
