A batch of 932,000 doses of BioNTech-Fosun COVID-19 mRNA vaccine departed from Luxembourg Airport on Wednesday and is expected to arrive in China’s Taiwan on Thursday.

Shanghai-based Fosun Pharma signed a deal in July with Taiwan-based firms and organizations to sell 15 million COVID-19 mRNA vaccine shots to Taiwan. 

A second shipment of around 910,000 shots is scheduled for a week later.
