The Taliban on Wednesday captured six checkpoints from the opposing National Resistance Front in the Shatal District of Panjshir Province, Afghan news agency Pajhwok reported.
Panjshir is the only one of the 34 provinces in Afghanistan that is not controlled by the Taliban, as conflicts between the two sides have been ongoing.
