The CPC Way: 'Without the Communist Party, there would be no New China'
04:15

Cao Hongwen is the daughter of composer Cao Zhi. All of China knows his revolutionary song, "Without the Communist Party, there would be no New China." In 1940, Cao Zhi changed his name to Huoxing, which means fiery star. He was inspired by Mao Zedong's famous saying, "a single spark can start a prairie fire." Only six years after Cao Huoxing wrote the song, the Communist Party of China founded the New China - the People's Republic of China.
