The U.S. described climate change cooperation as an "oasis" of China-U.S. ties. But Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi extended the metaphor, saying that the oasis will shrink sooner or later if the desert of contentious issues surrounding it remain unresolved.
