At least 17 people were killed and 41 wounded after Taliban fighters in the capital fired their weapons into the air on Friday, Al Jazeera reported on Saturday citing a source at the emergency hospital. 

Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid Friday on Twitter criticized the practice of firing into the air and called on the fighters to stop it immediately.
