The Taliban have concluded the meeting to form a new government in Afghanistan and will announce its members in two to three days, Ahmadullah Wasiq, deputy head of the Taliban's cultural commission, told a CMG reporter on Friday.
According to Wasiq, preparations for the inaugural meeting of the new Afghan government are proceeding in an orderly manner.
"When the time comes, guests from local and abroad will attend," he said without giving any names.
The Taliban have been busy forming a new government. In an earlier interview with CGTN, spokesperson Suhail Shaheen confirmed the new government will be under an Islamic mechanism with a top leader and a leadership council.
Speaking of the composition, he said that about 60 to 65 percent of the membership would be members of the Taliban's negotiation team in Doha.
