Afghanistan's flag carrier Ariana Afghan Airlines has resumed domestic flights, reported Tolonews on Sunday, a local television channel.
"The Ariana Afghan Airlines resumed its flights from Kabul to Herat, Mazar-i-Sharif and Kandahar cities," said Tolonews.
The flag carrier is the first local airline to resume domestic flights since completion of the U.S. forces pullout in late August. Facilities in Kabul airport were reportedly destroyed following their withdrawal.
