Celebrations for the fourth Hangzhou International Day started on September 5, including exhibitions on promotion, cultural heritage and economic development as well as tourism activities. Hangzhou designated September 5 as the International Day last April to mark the anniversary of the closing of the 2016 G20 Hangzhou Summit. Since then, it has become a permanent annual event designed to raise the city's international profile.
