Taliban check passengers entering Kabul airport after flights resume

Taliban members were stationed outside Kabul's Hamid Karzai International Airport on Monday, after the resumption of some domestic flights. The Taliban say they are checking luggage for security purposes. Flights between Kabul and the western city of Herat, Mazar-i Sharif in the north and Kandahar in the south began Saturday. Qatar has flown humanitarian aid into Kabul and said it will operate daily aid flights to Afghanistan over the next few days.
