The Taliban held a press conference in Kabul on Monday, after the group claimed complete control in Panjshir province, the last area in Afghanistan being held by resistance forces.

At the press conference, Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid said the group tried to solve the Panjshir problem with dialogue, but the opponents didn't want to.

"We have chosen way of peace and dialogue, but the resistance forces preferred war," Mujahid said at a press conference after the Taliban claimed full control of the contested Panjshir province.
