Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov on Thursday said Russia has not decided to recognize the Taliban and will continue to watch their actions to see how much promise they hold in the future.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov earlier confirmed that Russia had received an invitation from the Taliban to attend a ceremony announcing the formation of the new government, and said Russia would accept if a new government is inclusive.
