Several people are missing after two boats carrying at least 100 passengers collided in the Brahmaputra River in the Indian city's Jorhat, Indian media NDTV reported Wednesday.

Video footage on social media showed one boat capsizing after the collision, with some passengers holding on to it.

Rescue operations started following the incident. Many passengers, including a baby, have been rushed to hospitals, NDTV said.
