China's Academy of Social Sciences has released the 2020 Belt and Road Handbook, to commemorate the initiative's eighth anniversary. As of June 2021, 140 countries have signed over 200 cooperation agreements with China to take part in the initiative. The handbook presents an overview of Belt and Road development since 2017, analyzing the policy's progress and achievements.
