This year's first flood on the Yangtze River swept across the areas nearby its section in southwestern municipality Chongqing with no damage and casualties reported.

Affected by the continuous heavy rainfall in the flood season, the No.1 Yangtze River flood in 2021 and the No.2 Jialing River flood formed in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River have caused a severe rise of river level in Chongqing since the onset of flood season this year.
