Mexico City residents out on streets after strong quake

A strong 7.1-magnitude earthquake shook Mexico City, the capital of the country, on the night of September 7, leaving at least one person dead, according to the National Seismological Service of Mexico. According to local authorities, the epicenter of the strong earthquake was located 11 kilometers southwest of the port city of Acapulco, in the state of Guerrero (south), at 8:47 p.m. (01: 47GMT). The governor of Guerrero, Héctor Astudillo, reported one casualty in the municipality of Coyuca de Benítez when a light pole fell.
