The Yellow River runs through nine provinces on its 5,464km winding journey to the sea.
Though the Yellow River exerts a profound influence on all the places it passes through, it enjoys an incredibly close relationship with the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, where it has shaped and continues to draw on the enduring legacy bestowed by the river for its prosperity.
