Israeli doctors have successfully separated 12-month-old twin girls conjoined at the head, the first of its kind in the country. Dozens of staff members accompanied the family from before birth until the day of the operation. Surgery for the separation of twins conjoined at the head takes place in several stages. Currently, plastic surgeons are continuing the procedure and the closure of the skin.
