China is the biggest tea producer and consumer in the world. While most harvests come from sprawling commercial farms, some cultivators bring tea plantations in their original form – letting individual trees grow amid wild forests. Taimu Mountain in northeast Fujian Province is known for growing white tea in a traditional and artisanal way.
