The Hungarian foreign ministry has signed a memorandum of cooperation with a subsidiary of China's pharmaceutical company Sinopharm on creating the infrastructure for manufacturing the COVID-19 vaccine in Hungary within 10 months, a senior official said on Friday.
"With our partners in China and the UAE constantly researching new mutations of the virus and working on developing the most effective vaccines, the cooperation gives access to Hungary to new information and provides an opportunity to react quickly and effectively," Tamas Menczer, state secretary from the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade said on social media.
