Dozens of kidnapped students freed by gunmen in NW Nigeria

Dozens of students and a teacher kidnapped about two weeks ago by unidentified gunmen from a local secondary school in Nigeria's northwestern state of Zamfara have regained their freedom, a police source said Monday.

The students of the Government Secondary School (GSS) in Kaya, a village in the Maradun local government area of Zamfara, regained their freedom from the gunmen Sunday and are already reuniting with their families, said the police source, who spoke under condition of anonymity.
