The election of the seventh Legislative Assembly of the Macao Special Administrative Region wrapped up early Monday morning, with preliminary results showing that 14 candidates won the directly-elected seats, and 12 won the indirectly-elected seats. Professor Wang Chao, deputy director of the Center for Constitutional and Basic Law Studies at the University of Macao, described the election as competitive, open and transparent.
