The Chinese mainland is fighting another outbreak of the Delta variant of COVID-19 in the southeastern province of Fujian. The epicenter is the city of Putian. It has so far reported 76 positive cases with 28 of them asymptomatic. The central government has dispatched a team to help with prevention and control measures. Authorities say the source may have been a person who recently returned to Fujian from Singapore.
