Officials from Xiamen, a city in China's Fujian Province, said a total of 12 confirmed COVID-19 cases had been found as of 6 p.m. on Monday.

The patients, all in a stable condition, are being treated at hospitals.

Xiamen recorded its first local case on Sunday, which was linked to an emerging local cluster in Putian, another city in the Chinese coastal province.
