The Chinese mainland is combating a new outbreak of the Delta variant in Fujian Province. Positive cases were found in people who had tested negative several times. Professor Wu Zhiwei, director of the Center for Public Health Research at the Medical School of Nanjing University, shared why false negatives can occur and the best way to protect children. He says the virus could stay in the human body without any symptoms for two weeks or longer.
