China said it supports the Afghan people to independently choose a development path that suits their own national conditions and hopes the country will build a broad and inclusive political structure.
"China is willing to provide vaccines, humanitarian supplies and other assistance to Afghanistan, and work with the international community to help Afghanistan fight terrorism and realize national stability and economic development at an early date," Chinese Ambassador to Afghanistan Wang Yu told Amir Khan Muttaqi, acting foreign minister of Afghanistan's caretaker government in a meeting on Tuesday.
The Afghan official promised that the government will continuously improve its governance capabilities to better combat terrorism and will never allow any forces to use the Afghan territory to do things that endanger the interests of China and other countries.
