The harvest season has arrived in the eastern Chinese city of Ningbo after a fishing ban that lasted for four and half months. As a long-held tradition in Ningbo, a grand ceremony featuring ancient rituals dedicated to the sea is performed, including offerings to the sea god, singing and dancing. Right after that, about 1,000 fishing vessels are expected to sail off the fishery port to celebrate the start of a new round of fishing season. CGTN reporter Li Jianhua and Colombian vlogger Gao Fei walk you through the ceremony to present you the most traditional and authentic fishery culture of Ningbo. Don't miss the boat!
