The U.S. and the UK will provide Australia with the technology and capability to deploy nuclear-powered submarines. Teng Jianqun, Director of American Studies at the China Institute of International Studies, said the U.S. and its allies' action is a violation of international laws, especially the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT).
