Southeast China's Fujian Province has reported 292 confirmed locally-transmitted COVID-19 cases since September 10 in a recent resurgence of the pandemic, authorities said Saturday.
All 292 patients have been hospitalized and three asymptomatic carriers of the virus have been put under isolated medical observation.
Putian City in Fujian, where most of the infections were detected, has registered 179 locally-transmitted cases and one from overseas in the latest outbreak.
Three more areas in Putian's Xianyou County were adjusted to medium-risk for COVID-19 on Saturday.
